Freebees politics.. is it good trend?

Thanks to Congress for showing real picture of AAP. Many people would have otherwise gone and vote for APP in coming election of Lokshabha. Giving freebees is most easy and any CM can do. Surprised if AAP thinks that helps them distinguish them from other parties. In UP Akihilesh is giving many such freebees does that prove him a better CM.

Does recent decision of free water will it ever be able to take extension of pipelines required? Many electricity boards I see them in big debts. I read when Akihilesh join UP GOVT NTPC stopped supply to UP govt because of inability to pays dues.

Any department electricity/water/police should manage their funds in efficient ways and must have plans and budget for infrastructure growth and future requirements. Does recent decision of free water at Delhi make department self-sufficient? From where the money is going to come to fulfil departments need? Either by creating deficit or by adding tax to the people. Unfortunately in this type of governance no one takes ownership. Govt can later put responsibility on water department of vice versa. In last 10 years due to competition of giving freebees most of the state govt have increased their budget deficit to almost 10 times. How long we can go by this culture. We must learn from the current deficit situation in US.

Let’s understand it by example two friends living in same building and both are demanding children. First one always manage to get his due demand since his father is ready to spend Second father explain the importance of fine balance. Now both grows and try for admission at a prestigious college now father who saved money throughout and was not spending unplanned could manage fees for his children other could not. Let’s treat GOVT budget same way. Let’s be futuristic lets not waste money unwisely. Let’s make all GOVT department in public services efficient and self-sufficient. Let’s provide them completion by having private public competition. Let’s not make them inefficient and non-futuristic. 

We must understand parties/polices who are offering freebees in manifestos without even before knowing balance sheet of GOVT. Ask for details put situation(balance sheet) in manifesto and explain from where you will save money to spend on freebees, if tax increase explain that in detail.  This is dangerous. We do not want freebees from the loan amount or by printing extra money. This is going to cost my next generation they will curse us putting into such situation. Anyone talking here how we increase our revenue. Anyone can spend. How long we can take loans from IMF and provide such subsidies? Let’s not make India another GREECE.

Let’s ensure GOVTs produce balance sheet every 3 months the way any public ltd company. Let’s judge ourselves are we burdened more or less. Ask for more parameters if we think something is projected in dubious way. Let’s choose GOVT who does so.

Let’s ensure any GOVT Department is not paid for their debt.  They are producing their results every quarter and we can judge the situation ourselves.

Let’s ensure GOVT spending their money for the only reason it was arranged for. i.e.  Any new initiatives money cannot be used for departments old liabilities.

Let’s ensure any license is only auctioned and nothing is given for free.
